Re: Scrubbing individual clips..
Ah, yes if global quantisation is off, then it's really difficult to get stuff in time straight off. I'd have global quantisation set to 1 bar - stuff will sync up nicely then. If you do want to use your method, there are nudge buttons at the bottom of the Clip box in the Clip view which usually ...

Re: Scrubbing individual clips..
Hi Mark,
If 2 tracks have been time warped correctly, and the start markers are appropriately placed, then they should play back in sync and you shouldn't have the need to push either track on to get it in time.
Find the first kick drum on each track, zoom right in on it, create a warp marker ...

Re: turning looping off for newly recorded MIDI Clips?
Hi mate,
If you press a stop button, rather than the red launch button again, then the MIDI Clip will stop rather than immediately start looping.
Is that what you mean?
Cheers, Tom.

Hi mate,
Slightly different way of selecting presets which you might be able to get to work for you...
In the 'Notes' box of a MIDI Clip in the Clip view there is a set of choosers - 'Bank', 'Sub Bank', and 'Program' - you can use these to select presets on your synth. Only downside is you can't ...

Re: Reducing CPU Usage
Hi mate,
I wouldn't worry about 30-40%!
I would also say, freeze by all means, but don't flatten, it's not really necessary. When you freeze, Live takes an audio snapshot of your MIDI track and instead of doing all those calculations in real time when you play the track back, it will play this ...

Re: Export a midi track in arrange view?
Hi mbira,
Yes you can: select all your MIDI Clips within the track you'd like to export, select 'consolidate' from the edit menu to glue them all together, then right click and export MIDI Clip.
If you have separate Clips in the track, you can only export them one at a time, and if they are looped ...

Alright mate,
Do you not just have to make sure that the VST window is selected with the left mouse button so that it is in focus rather than Live? Forgive me if i'm insulting your intelligence there - I don't use many keyboard shortcuts w/VSTs...
Cheers, Tom.

Re: Make "generate analysis file" work with changing tempo
Hi Anamexis,
If you mean what I think you mean, then could I point something out...
If you have changes in tempo within a rendered piece of music, then that will only play in time within a new project with the exact same changes in tempo (if that makes sense?)
If you import a piece of music with ...

Re: why is my AMP folder empty?
Hi Gwen,
Take a look under audio effects rack - you should see a few folders eg 'Guitar Amp Distortion'. These are combinations of Amp + Cabinet devices (mirroring a real guitar setup) + other FX.
Cheers, Tom.

Hi GV,

If you activate this button in the Sample box of the Clip view, the piece of audio being referenced by the Clip will be loaded into the computers RAM. This means the computer can access it much quicker that if the audio was being read from the computer's hard disk ...

Re: Getting clips from Arrange into Session?
Hi Adam,
Glad to be of assistance!
I'd steer clear of performing in Arrangement view, it's not designed for performance really. I suppose it is possible to fundamentally perform using markers to map out the start of each song contained in your performance, but Session view is designed for live ...
