Large room recording.
This is a bit OT but I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions nonetheless.
Unfortunately the room I'm recording is quite open. I generally do mostly guitar and vocals. My apt is basically like a loft, no doors, just wide open space and high ceilings.

What a strange little thing...
No matter what instrument synth, I'm getting a "pulsing distortion" everytime I press a key on the axiom keyboard.
It's really annoying. I mean I can hear the original piano sounds, but there's a distortion that comes with it too and pulsates every 1 - 2 seconds along with the sound.
Anyone know ...

Soft synths.
So Ableton for M-AUDIO comes with two instruments, impulse and simpler.
Definitely no good for elegant piano sounds.
I'm just looking for more variety of course. This may have been posted a million times... but this forum is too huge to go digging through it forever.

Latency?
I'm using the Axiom 61.
In Ableton, I'm using the MME/DirectX driver.
I'm using my soundcard as the input and output. Both of them can generate as little as 5ms each, generating a total of 10ms latency.
Is it normal to have this much delay?

M-AUDIO/ABLETON newbie. Help!
I just recently got the Axiom 61 midi controller along with Ableton Live, version 4.
I was wondering if anyone knew step by step instructions on how to set it up.
For example, in preferences under midi, I have two Axiom inputs (in 1 and 2) and they are both checked green. Under output, it is my ...
