Re: Dj'ing with the APC40

I don't think that is it as i tried it with different settings and it doesn't seem to work. I think I may need Bomes to help control the midi messages which are sent. Have you gotten it to work?

Re: Dj'ing with the APC40

Just got the APC and am quite impressed overall. I am confused about a few things I have read. It seems that some people have remapped for example the clip activation buttons to the clip view of the current track that is playing. However, it seems can't you always get there by using the Track select...

Re: Strange Observation

Those were not very helpful replies. I am not emailing from a live gig, my gig is this Saturday, but was simply preparing for it. Anyone else notice a change in sound when pressing the EXT button?

Strange Observation

I recently bought Live 8 and I have a live gig coming up and was going put the EXT button on (external midi sync) in order to block the spacebar from being hit accidentally. In practicing for this, I noticed that the sound changes when I press the EXT button, specifically I notice a drop in the bass...

I did send an email to ableton support, but I thought I would post here as well in case someone from ableton saw it and could help. Is there no way to deauthorize my old laptop?
Thanks,
Adam

Unlock Limit reached - Ableton Support please look at this

I am in a bit of a jam. I know it is the weekend, but I am hoping someone from Ableton will look at this. I just bought a new laptop on friday night, but I did not realize I had reached my unlock limit. I am travelling on a long flight to Asia on Sunday and I was hoping to be able to use live on the...

For me it is the Saffire which is crashing. It is hard to tell when it will crash, but i can reproduce it just by creating a new scene and using a single track with impulse and triggering samples from the padKontrol. The only other time I had problems with the Saffire crashing was when I was running...

Saffire Crashing in Live with PadKontrol

I just purchased a padKontrol for use with Live 6. I have a Focusrite Saffire sound card which all of a sudden is crashing frequently when I use the padKontrol. Btw i am using this on a PowerMac Dual 2GHZ G5. Does anyone have a similar setup? Has anyone experienced such crashes with the Saffire? Tha...

in live 6 you have to enable sends on the return tracks (right click) could that be it?
That was it. I totally forgot about that. Thanks,

use the "utility" trick - I use it for Livecut which seemes to be unstable when you use the on/off button basically use 2 sends, on one of them (2nd one apparently is better for some reason - we'll say "B") put a utility plug-in on "B" with the "invert" preset then turn the send on the "B" return t...

saffire crashing when using reason rewired into Live

I recently bought a Saffire as my sound card and whenever I rewire reason and load a patch and play it through live it will play fine for a minute and then inevitably crash the Saffire. Using Reason alon seems to work fine as well as Live alone. Has anyone else experienced this? i am running Live 6....
