This is a basic question and I think I'm going mad as I'm sure this used to be an option but I can't find it anywhere:
isn't there an option in Live 9 to only have the metronome clicking when recording and not playing?
Thanks

Re: Freezing on enterring File Browsers
Sorry, I'm using version 8.0.1 and I'm on a quad core intel Q6600 with 2 gb of RAM. I've got a lot of free space left on the hard disk.

Freezing on enterring File Browsers
Hi,
Live 8 is freezing when enterring the file browsers but also at other times seemingly at random. It freezes for about a minute then will continue. Playing clips etc seems to work fine. Had the same problem with the beta - I'm running the demo at the moment.
Any help appreciated.
Thanks,
Henry

Re: Melodies
For real. A good song will have both good melodies and harmonies that complement eachother. Rhythm's important too, it's a combination of loads of different factors that makes a good choon.

Re: Melodies
For what it's worth I think Justice are one of the most harmonic/melodic electronic bands I've heard in a very long time. But that's just my opinion. It's the sort of music I'd be proud of making.

Crashing at any sample rate over 44100
Hi,
If I'm doing a project in Live and run in ANYTHING other than 44100 after 15 minutes the buttons stop responding. I then switch back to 44100 and it will be fine again.
I have a LynxTwo with latest software/firmware.
Any suggestions?

Drum Machines
Yo,
I'm thinking of buying Live 7 and the drum machines add-on looks really cool to me. At present I have some samples of the linndrum and dmx (which are a bit rubbish) and a real 909/707.
Are the drum machines multisampled so when you fiddle with, say, the tone nob on the 909, it will trigger a ...

Portablish sampler - can you help?
Anyone know of a sampler/sequencer that I could move about the place etc. which I could sample sounds into and also sequence from. I've been looking at the MPC1000 but I hear the pads are a bit dodgy and it looks to be made for 'makin' beats'.
Any recommendations?

Delay on notes
Hi,
Say I have a snare track, send it to a return then have the return going to another track. If I put a reverb on the return and on the final track I change the delay to around 200ms, when I take off all the effects and the delay, there is a quarter of a second delay still on the track.
