Re: overwrite a midi clip?

Now that's a real good idea. One could use dummy clips via Push session view to make this work quiet intuively. Thanks again!

Re: overwrite a midi clip?

Thanks for your answer. It's so funny to me how limited this thing can be. I mean 'replacement or overwrite recording' is such a basic function if you think about it. Right now one has to record a new clip to achieve this but it's totally inconvenient...

Re: overwrite a midi clip?

I don't want to overdub but overwrite the currently playing midi clip.

overwrite a midi clip?

I try to find a convenient way to 'overwrite' my midi clips on the fly. In a way my goal is to work with clips like with an endless delay where on idea is repeated until I play the next one - know what I mean? :-) Using Bome one could create some combined commands like delete clip/record, controlled...

Re: Snake pattern generator --> Push

Thanks @herreinholt!

I thought it wouldn't be an easy task. But if it's doable I'll start diving deeper into this matter.

Snake pattern generator --> Push

I just found this wonderful snake pattern generator: http://www.maxforlive.com/library/device.php?id=4771#12678 Now before I get deeper into programming m4l I would like to ask you guys one or two things: - Is it possible to use Push's pads to select gates/notes and maybe the encoders to set the ind...

Re: Renee for Push7maxforlive?

Thanks again,

you're right about the gate outs of course. I was mainly thinking about the snake patterns in association with sending pitch...

Anyways, I will do research about it...

Re: Renee for Push7maxforlive?

I thought first about a combination of the Push matrix buttons for the touch pads of the René. Pitch, gate, etc. could be set with the encoders on different pages. Cartesian sequencing within the DAW would be priceless, selecting different snake patterns, spontaneous changes of sequence length using...

Re: Renee for Push7maxforlive?

Well guys, thanks for your answers. I am not necessarily talking about cv-outs. It would be cool to at least have the cartesian idea to trigger midi/pitch for audio instruments in Ableton at least. I know only v1 of the module. Monome is dope too, I know. (btw: is there some sequencer for push that ...

Renee for Push7maxforlive?

I really liked Dr Chaos from the probability pack. First sequencer that has a cool Push implementation. Where could I find someone interested in doing some sort of 'Renee' (Make Noise) adaptation to M4l and Push? That would be too dope to have something like this...

"reduced latency when monitoring" cuases clicking?

In my liveset which is a bit complex (using like 60 tracks while 30 of them being instruments) I get some real bad audible clicks when activating different channels. The thing is it's really bad when "reduced latency when monitoring" is activated. If i deactivate it it gets better, but then I need t...

Thanks man, that's what I hoped to hear :-)
So far the performance itself didn't suffer, just loading in samples gets slower and slower...

When does a liveset/project become too big?

...processor wise my project is still smooth (15%). But it's getting audio wise very large, using around 7gb of audio material. I have 16gb of ram on my MBP, a fast ssd and lots of space on it. Problem: I'm using also lots of drumracks and whenever I wanna add a sample to a cell it takes like 10 sec...
