Can I automate devices/fx racks on Return tracks inside Session view? I need different time-divisions on my return-delay channels for different scenes within my live set. Is that possible?
So here is the weirdest thing with my Midi-in-monitoring I ever experienced. I set my Midi channels to "monitor in" so that I can always use my midi keyboard to play these instruments (plugins and external synths) on their corresponding channels without needing them to "record arm". So far so good ...
is there any possibility to change Ableton's auto quantize behaviour for midi clips? Swing and amount is always 100% when auto mode is on? To keep it more organic I would love to mess especially with the amount value...
I don't get the audio back into Ableton - that is the "problem". The thing is that that Nord Drum doesn't have seperate outputs for it's six channels.
My workaround to mute them via drum racks is using the macro controls and mapping them to the Nord Drum's corresponding Midi cc's...

The reason why I am asking: I want to be able to mute individual notes (meaning pads on my drum module) in those midi ...
Thanks for your answer. It's so funny to me how limited this thing can be. I mean 'replacement or overwrite recording' is such a basic function if you think about it. Right now one has to record a new clip to achieve this but it's totally inconvenient...
I try to find a convenient way to 'overwrite' my midi clips on the fly. In a way my goal is to work with clips like with an endless delay where on idea is repeated until I play the next one - know what I mean? :-) Using Bome one could create some combined commands like delete clip/record, controlled ...
