Hi,
My Output Buffer Size in the preferences menu reverts to the default (4096 Samples) every time I go to open Live. Anyone the wiser on how I make the change permanent?
Thanks.

Re: Will a new processor really make that much difference?
Why would you say obviously? That's not necessarily the case at all. Even if you are talking about instrument plugins only they could be stacked up in racks, for instance. Although yeah that in itself probably wouldn't make much difference to CPU usage.

I was referring to the RAM with regards to 64bit, mate.pencilrocket wrote:64bit is nothing to do with CPU performance though. Also you will continue to use 32 bit plugins even after 64bit DAW will be availble.

Re: Will a new processor really make that much difference?
Depends what plugins you use.
Mostly "ReFx Nexus", "Lennar Digital - Sylenth" and "ReFX Vanguard" to be honest dude. :P
You can also bounce a set of tracks with heavy plugin usage to a seperate audio track and then switch off all the plugins. you don't have to delete the original tracks.

I have already checked google for an explanation. I was asking the OP for his input on how this might help MY problem specifically.

Hi,
Why is eighty channels too much? The track ain't even finished yet lol! Don't know what to say really... There's plenty of plug-ins running, they each need a channel obviously. Here's the arrangement so far...

Re: All VST plug-in data lost when switching between Mac & PC!!!
Hi Palmer,
No mate, it's strictly VSTi's in use...
'Sylenth', 'Nexus', 'Predator' etc. etc.
My guess is, the problem is due to the VST path directory since this will differ between Mac and Windows.
I sincerely hope there is a solution though, as the projects are pretty useless opened elsewhere ...

Plug-in configuration
Hi all,
When saving a project pack and opening it on another computer, all active plug-ins seem to return to default, by this I mean they lose any configuration that was originally made and return to the preset that is used as if you were to open the plug-in as new again.
This is a massive ...

Re: VSTs inactive when project is opened on another computer!
Hmm...
Is there no way to combat this then other than reload every plug-in separately?
Also, most of the channels in question are using the same plug-in (Nexus). Are you aware of any way in which I can open said plug-in and apply it to all of those channels at once? Or does Nexus have to be ...

VSTs inactive when project is opened on another computer!
Hi,
After spending a few days in a friend's studio doing tutorials, I have taken home a copy of the project to work on what I have learned. However, when I open the Live Set at home, any channel that was originally running a VST no longer has this in place and I have to manually re-open the VST in ...
