Minor
Hi, If i'm in a minor key, would i play the harmonic minor scale for chords and melodic minor scale for melodies, or would i have to choose between them?

i was guessing he is saying get a tune you like, bounce it to audio then play it along side your track and take notes and ...

Re: Chord question 2
i believe the first example you give is not a chord as such, because it only has two notes it would be an interval. i would call that first example a major third interval.
your second example is just a c major. the fact that the major third is an octave higher doesn't make any difference to that ...

Re: This chord sound
Sounds like a standard supersaw being sidechained.
Lot's of synths have a supersaw preset. If not, it's pretty easy to create. I'm guessing since you're trying to make Skrillex sounds that you're using Massive, so:
All 3 oscillators set to sawtooth, amp all the way up.
Detune one of them -10 ...

No, i'm trying to make the soundstringtapper wrote:Are you asking about designing the actual sound or what chords are being played?
If its the latter:
C minor – Ab major – C minor – Bb major most of the time, then Bb major – Ab major at the end of the phrase before the vocals come in.
