Im trying to figure this out.
I have a multitimbral vst synth. I use midi one track on channel one to play a piano for example. Now i want a second midi track to use channel 2 on the same synth.
Now i can do this, but all the sounds end up on the same channel which makes levels etc. difficult.

yes, the meter looks like circles or holes and there is no volume control,or pan.
I will try as you say, but im pretty sure ive had instruments on those channels and still no volume control etc.

Lets say im using 1 midi, i throw in a synth, all is good.
Now i want to use the same synth in another midi channel. I insert another midi channel. If i choose the ins and outs of the new channel, select the midi in, then for output choose 1- midi, and i use channel 2. This will work, but all of my ...

Insert midi track. Why do i sometimes get a channel with a different volume meter, circles, with no level control and no pan?????

Im new to this program, but i am trying to record in clips. Lets say i have two clips recorded in a scene. Im trying to record the third clip. I have one bar lead in, when it gets to the record time, there is a big delay like latency.
