Live itself is working fine here. But some people are having issues with ReWire stopping their various audio applications from working (and causing all out crashes).

For me though the problem though is my firewire interface - it's visible, the OS, Control Panel and various audio softwares all see ...

Coreaudio versus ASIO

Is it just me, or does CoreAudio suck royally?

I've tried the same firewire audio interface (Alesis Multimix 8 ) with Live on two PC's one a MacPro running both OSX and XP and the other an older slower Dell running only XP. In XP using ASIO i'm able to get lower latency with a larger buffer margin ...

Keyframing

It would be very useful to be able to simply key-frame values of parameters at certain positions of the play-head and have live interpolate the values correctly for you rather than recording values constantly for each parameter as the play-head is moving. Just like working with for instance After ...

Clip morphing

It would be great to be able to rather than just crossfade clips, especially with midi clips to be able to morph them, blending all parameters between the clips (also being able to set a morph track that morphs between a couple of other tracks that you give it, including morphing all the parameters ...

Function Curves

It would be nice to have bezier/linear/bicubic curves for parameter control as well as the current pen tools barchart style control.

I see this as a very big thing, and it's really features likethis that I wish were in Ableton:

1) In app online audio sample, rack and presets database added to by the userbase over time, ideally utilising bittorrent technology distributed server based downloading coupled with a central backup ...

They basically appeared at a time to bring back a lot of the sounds of bands such as Kraftwerk when there was nothing else sounding like that. That made them a bit of a breath of fresh air, fusing the electronic with a more uptempo disco beat.

Whether you like their particular sound is of course as ...

Psshh... quiet you :P. Not so much poetry as musical verse, it fits to music, honest, no really, it does, seriously, even if i might have to mightily bend and break the laws of mere note, rhythm and cadence in order to make them fit, by Jove the forces of music shall bend to my will, oh yes they ...

I'm thinking that it was either La bamba or Helter-Skelter on the guitar,I do know that Helter Skelter was the reason I moved up from 9's to 10's (you break so many strings playing that tune if you us 9's, you have to really dig in to get that bwaaaiing guitar sound on the White Album).

My prediction (in verse because this is allegedly a site for musicians) -

When you're no longer relevant,
when you've nothing left to say,
with no creativity left, no spark or flame,
and empty words in your addled brain,
there is always politics and conspiracy to fall back on,
a make believe ...

Hi, thanks for listening! Nope, no phaser on the master, but flanger on one of the guitars and some phaser on the reverb from the organ.

It's an interesting idea about removing the bass before the destruction, I'll give it a go, but I have to emphasize that the bass destruction or "blattering sound ...

I'm hoping that Live gets MP3 writing capabilities soon. Not because of the odd track here and there, but because I would love to be able to master all tracks, or have it save the whole composition to mp3's so that I can share tracks with friends across the internet and allow them to mix and tweak ...

+1

Already been requested many times before now too. A public and well documented API would help spur Live on to further ubiquity.
