I do not understand. Nobody ever said Push was a tool for sound design. Ableton decison was to design it as an instrument. Enjoy a wonderful instrument.

yur2die4, the script is a wonder, but the behavior of the shift-Tap option is the same as commented Dionysiac = locking the controller to a device.

Jajaja, man, I'm a luky Push owner, and just trying hard to figure out all the possibilities. The Push section in the Live manual is sparse, to be honest, and u know, practice and bold is the mother and father of science.

Well, almost good, is a great tip, sure I'll use, but not the behavior I want.
I think that could not been so hard to insert the id of the controller in the control message, like your tips demostrate.
The point is to be able to have a "focus track" for each controller, this would be a user "natural ...

I have my work surface away from my computer too. I use an amplified usb extension cable (5 meters) between my desktop and a powered usb hub, in which my APC, IODock and Push are connected. All working fine.

btw, the possibility to browse the presets of a 3th party VST would be fine. Lets wait and see what Ableton do. It can be done, but not wihtout a lot and clever work.

Of couse NI automap his own devices and VSTs. But u ar talking about Ableton mapping everythig others do. The solution is to create a rack with the Vst's parameters u want to control, then u get them all in the Push screen. Plain easy.

The ouetest is for hold (sustain), inner for record toggle.

I use a Boss FS-5U that works fine as a hold pedal. Just conected in te outest input of the Push. Still trying to make the inner work as a record toggle, as it seems to be.

Yoda, the manual says nothing about that. May we use the force?

Would like to use my new Push with my apc40. For now I can shoot clips on my apc disconnecting the "select clip at launch" option in the Live preferences.
But I can not use my apc to tweek sounds while "pushing" notes in other traks. (Arrgh)
Any idea?
would be nice if each controler keeps ...
