Re: how to get this deep sub baseline?
Double the sample with a simple sine wave kick in operator.

Track-dependent midi control
I feel like this is something really obvious that I'm missing, but I'm wondering if there's any way to do track-dependent midi control. In other words, you could have a filter on four different tracks, but the Midi CC would only control the filter on the active track.

Re: dual monitor support damnit!!!!!
Uh, I don't know what your guys problem is, Ableton Live already works fine with dual monitors. Make tunes on one screen and watch porn on the other.
But seriously, +1! This is a pretty standard feature for DAWs these days, especially in this price range.

Re: Simple method for momentary glitching?
Yeah, glitching everything by hand gives you the greatest control, but if you're going to be performing live it's not really practical. But there are plenty of ways to glitch automatically, let your imagination be your guide...

Re: Simple method for momentary glitching?
It depends on exactly what you want to do, but when I want to do some basic glitching, I just resample everything I want to glitch down to one audio clip. Then I can just screw around with that audio clip as needed, reversing bits of it, duplicating bits to get stutter effects, etc.

It's been working fine for me so far in Live 6. Maybe it's because I'm on windoze?SubFunk wrote:it crashes in live6
Edit: Hmm, the preset saver seems sort of buggy. Every time I save a preset, switch to a different preset, then switch back, it sounds different. Somewhat annoying, but also kind of fun...

Getting rid of unused wav files
Correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems that Live often has a habit of leaving .wav files lying around even after they're no longer used in the track. For example, if you freeze a track, flatten it, edit it some more, then freeze+flatten it again, the original file still sticks around even though you ...

Sample Rate Conversion
This is kind of an odd question. Is there any way to perform sample rate conversions within Live? I know you can use Redux to reduce it to 8-bit, but is there also a way to bring samples at 44.1kHz down to 22.05kHz? (I like the crispy sound of that "low quality"
)
