I did not experience crashes... It was however quite tricky to get OS 9 on the partition.

I did the following:

Install Mac OS X on both partitions.
Install Mac OS 9 on one of the partitions.
Delete Mac OS X from the OS 9 partition.

It is quite difficult as the OS 9 install is pretty ...

I do not know if there is an advantage...?

I seem to have less problems than most people though.

I think it keeps things tidy

PB 1GHz and 1 gig O' ram.
OS 9.2.2 and OSX 10.2.6

I believe this a Waves issue due to the WaveShell....
I have not tried this on OSX yet. That is the way it was
on OS 9.

Do your Waves plugins save with the Live set or do you have to reload them when you open the saved Live set?

Please give more info on your setup.... (OS and audio card).

You may have a samplerate mismatch

What do you mean"without it starting immediately"........

You could record the wet/dry mix of the effect in real-time.


If that is what you mean....?

Please be sure your clock source is set properly. Your digital clocks could be fighting, resulting in a massive wall of digital distortion.

When going digital, you need to have a master and a slave.

Make sure both devices are not trying to be the master.

Your CD player may be preset to ...

I tried it in OS 9 and got it to work until I switched it off and back on again.
I had to restart the computer and it started working again....

Make sure you have the latest version of the driver from their website.

If you do, try what others have suggested; bypass the USB...
Also be sure ...

We will just have to wait and see how it is with Live.

Many of the speed improvements may not be as relevent until apps are written to take advantage of the architecture..... (ie. 64bit)

"Real-World" will have to wait until August as far as Live is concerned...

What happens if you setup Live, the Midisport and the Repeater...only.

No Max..no Bitstream..no RFX pedal.....

This may help track down the problem.

Maybe this will help you know if it is Live or something that you took out of the setup.

The sections that you are cuttting in the Arranger, do they loop properly in the session view?

In session view; If you set the loop points (in the clip view properties window) to the specific section that you are cutting in the arranger, does it still click and pop (when playing the clip ...

What computer are you using, give details....



Are you sure that you have the newest driver for the Duo?

I have tested a PCI-424 card with an HD192 interface in a Dual 1GHZ G4, OS 10.2.5.

Works perfectly.....

So it isn't a PCI-424 issue, exclusively.
