My setup on Arturia BeatStep is this:

Pad09 Kick
Pad10 Snare
Pad11 Hihat
...etc.

the two knops "above" the Kick Pad (Knobs 1&9) are assigned to Sample Selection and Pitch in Ableton.
the two knops "above" the Snare Pad (Knobs 2&10) are assigned to Sample Selection and Pitch in Ableton.

I am freshening up some hihats and using Ableton's vinyl distortion I get a weird read out on the vectorscope.

My Hihats are a nice "ball of wool" as it should be on the vectorscope - correlation is in the +range so all is good!

But as soon as I start using and tweaking the ...

Here is the situation:

I have a Track finished - it overdrives the Master section visibly.

So I would expect to get an overdriven Audio File after rendering - but I do not!
The File is perfectly 0dB

Normalization in the rendering tab is deactivated - I dont have a Limiter or anything that would ...

The problem has to do with the TrackSpacer Plugin!

A Send is involved here - as soon as TrackSpacer is on, the Track on which is is active will not solo anymore.

That is what happens but I dont understand why

Using LIVE9.2.3 at a friends place.

We have several tracks but the first one (MIDI Track running a Sampler) just will not mute when pressing the Solo Button.

I just dont get it - all other tracks do as expected but that one just stays on (yellow Button stays yellow but should tur grey).

I got mislead because ableton seemed to have a similar problem back around version 6

i had to come up with quite a few theories only to find out it must have been somthing else....

It solves the problem if I put a blank audiofile before the actual one in order to have the channel already active when the actual audio part begins. Ableton then creates a ...

A very good idea I have a different audio interface which I can test the see if the phenomenon is the same.

Also remember that the Firewire Interface in my computer is a quite cheap one it might have some performance issues so I could try to replace it

Problem is - the "First BassDrum" has a Dropout of Audio right at the beginning - the first chunk ist "swallowed"

i tried this and got pattial sucess!

if i have an external FX plugin with the input configured to listen to my external audio source
the output is set to "No Output"

this I then grouped and set that groups output tho the grouped channel itself then - - - I get a Record Button!!!!
