I am using the mackie emulator for the UC33e control in Live 6, everything works fine.

the same configuration does not work in live 7.

live 6 recognized midi signals as control surface signals but live 7 does not (ie: the top right in between key and midi does not flash)

is there something i am ...

Sometimes Ableton halts when doing something. After T time windows will ask if you want to kill the non-responding program. If you choose yes ableton will close, but the process still shows in "Process Explorer" and the task manager. The process ...

My UC33e midi Mackie Emulator works in 6.0 but not 7.0.
Has anyone experienced the same problems?
What is the difference between the 6.0 and 7.0 mackie control surface midi?
Not sure if it is a bug but reporting just in case.

I am trying to setup my midi drum pad (Trigger Finger) to interface with Impulse. I would like to be able to assign each sample slot in the impulse to a button on my trigger finger. That way I can do drumming in real-time.

I can't seem to be able to do this? Anyone know how?

i am a progressive lover by nature but enjoy producing other genres.

wondering if anyone had tips on creating heavy, thick, fatty baselines (as this has been my biggest difficulty) in live.

I'd reply "simple (but non-trivial) software should be cheap (and supported)". It's not as simple as you might think, and I do expect to make a little money for my efforts. Keeps me interested ;-)

Any chance this setup is available for OSX?

Have you considered LC Xmu (see my sig)? UC33 factory preset 1 plays nice as "generic MIDI mixer" in LC Xmu, just map buttons to appropriate MC controls. But then, you probably want it to be free, eh? ;-)

simple software like this should be free.

The best way would be to make presets 1,2,3 and 4 to do what you want. Leave it with me for a few days and I'll try and get it working for you and send you the file.

problem solved. rebooting helped.

1) lugged in my UC33 via usb
2) windows recognized and installed the drives
3) loaded live
4) uc33 isnt being recognized in the Midi Ports list

i am able to do the same with my trigger finger and no problems.

any help would be appreciated.
