Re: How has your stems separation experience been ?

Finding it cool that(anecdotally) drums and bass are workable . I'm too squeamish to isolate my own vocal from 20yrs ago ! Yikes
I've only experimented with bass stem audio from random streamed song in high Q mode & yeah, it took about a cup of coffee in the other room to complete stem separation ...

Stepping over to WIN 11 & legacy VST Qs

My bios now says I'm eligible for WIN11 but I'm hesitant b/c of a couple of older VST2s that occasionally get used around here.
ex. I still hava solid Camel Alchemy 1.55(circa 2013) that sounds great thru LIVE12. Would you expect that older instruments/efx somehow wouldn't be ported to WIN11 . . ?

Create My Own Scale ?

I remember an exercise from college theory class - create my own 7 or 8 note scale and write from that. Is there a way to import my own notes into the midi global Scale Awareness ?

Re: Ableton 'spins' indefinitely when turning plug-in folders off

Yeah, I deleted the vst3 version of the ikmultimedia ARC4 to stop the spiraling. vst2 works just fine. Fortunate that all of my vst2 .dlls work still ! Hopeful that they don't get out-dated as that will cause my precious/ancient stand-alone Alchemy plug to go away. That would suck.

Re: Ableton 'spins' indefinitely when turning plug-in folders off

I saw a similar "hang" when adding a new plug into v.12. I think it's a conflict in LIVE when encountering a vst2 and a vst3 with the same name. It took me several weeks of trial, error & curse words to just delete one and have the folder load properly.
Best of Luck !

Re: Annoying issue with VST plugins

I also had some difficulty with a plugin that had both vst2 and vst3 versions. LIVE could not "decide" which one to recognize - deleted one of them and the plug now runs fine.
Best of luck

Well if you have both, you should be able to just give it a try for yourself.
