Re: Been a long time since I posted here - some orchestral music
Thanks!
I used Nexus 2 for piano, all orchestral instruments from East West Symphonic Orchestra Gold, choir is Omnisphere. Reverb is Lexicon, really nice plugin.

One day smooth playback, the next glitchy. Why?
Hi all, I'm on Live 8.3 and have been working on a track for a couple of weeks. The other day I was monitoring smoothly, no drop outs or glitches. The next morning I got up to do some more work on the track and kept getting drop outs and glitches. I'm doing some pretty cpu intensive work; have ...

Major processor overloading issue - please help urgently
Hi all, I have just done a complete system restore on my laptop due to getting the Ramnit/Ramon virus courtesy of a driver disc from an ebay purchase and I decided to move from Vista to Windows 7 32bit. I have reinstalled Live 8.2.2 and also Massive, though upgraded from 1.3 to 1.5. Previously I was ...

Re: how do you guys sample, and chop in ableton?
To be honest I don't do this with Live. It's a bit messy for that sort of thing, not accurate enough for my liking. For all my waveform/sample editing I use Audition. It's a great little tool, extremely user friendly and offers some good flexibility.

Just out of interest, on your website you state "Do not share your music on the internet" etc - by share do you mean "make available for download"?

Latest track and feeling disappointed with the result
OK, so admittedly I've only been producing for a couple of months, but my previous track - 2nd track produced to date - really tickled my nether regions when I played it back, however my latest production feels like it's fallen short. I can't pinpoint where I've gone awry but it just doesn't give me ...

Time For Change [Trance/progressive]
Here's my 3rd track, was kind of a quick throw down - took about 5 hours from start to finish. Let me know your thoughts if you feel like commenting. Cheers.

Re: CPU spikes
What are your i/o sample rates set at in your preferences? I was having trouble with my laptop spiking and was getting really bad stuttering and outs, so I dropped my sample rate to 32k to smooth things up when I'm doing my sequencing. Exports are always done at 44.1k. Not an ideal solution, but ...

Massive. If you don't have it, get it.

Complextro track
This is my 2nd effort at putting a full track together - have only been playing with production for around a month or two. Tutorials were a big help in working out Live and Massive/other plugins.
