Hi,
I see in the ad for Mackie Control they have the Vpots doings sends , pans , eq on/off etc.

Is there any way to do this in live , I know I can do all the sends for one channel at a time ,but what I really want is to pick a function ( send 1 , send 2 etc.) per track and have the vpot control ...

OK , here's the part I don't get.

I record MIDI into live , monitor on playing on 1,2,3,4 etc.

When I look at the Midi Data , it looks to be off the marks ( different than other DAW's I've worked with) , but supposedly plays correctly.

I open up another MIDI channel , same synth ...

Then freezing blows.

It means you need to keep track of which tracks have unlinked envelopes etc.

Files size is too big... Who cares? When you freeze , you also render arangement view which is huge.

This should be fixed.

IN protools etc. the mackie control lets you change the level of a track and when you stop touching the fader it goes back to the original level.

So say you've got a mix with a few spots where the fader is too high , you can play it back and adjust only the part you need to while leaving ...

I've got a 2 measure drum loop.

I've put an unlinked volume envelope on it so it's only heard in measures 7 and 8.

When the track is unfrozen , it works great.

When I freeze the track it never kicks in , kind of like it's repeating the envelope for bars 1 and 2 all the time.

The previous posts imply that if I record with monitor on , I get MIDI notes which are not exactly on the beat , but will get played back exactly on the beat.

So , MIDI notes which are on the beat will be played back late , correct?

To me the biggest issue is that recoding Midi with Monitor on doesn't work right.

Using SoftSynths , it's a killer.

This is a big issue for me.

I'm playing live VSTI along with a band and recording it all.

The timing is sloppy and you can hear the difference between what went in and what comes out.

This really needs to be fixed.
