Hi.

I updated to the latest version of Live 8 (from 7) over the weekend
and I have discovered a very big problem. When I export / render to
disc Live ignores and/or changes some of the automation on Group
Tracks, it also moves audio around from time to time. Has anyone else come across this ...

Too right ! Those are my favourite skins too and they're both gone ! I'm not sure I have copies of Disco 77 anymore but could probably find cardboard some place on one of my computers. Does anyone have a ZIP file with ALL the old skins in ?

I've just lost 4 days of hard work on a remix that needs to be delivered today ! Ouch. I couldn't open the song file after a crash when I tried to render the final version of the remix. Damn damn damn.

I'm having trouble grabbing hold of the envelope break points (I've mostly been using them in the Arrange View) especially when the value is close to zero. I can do it but it's a real pain.

Is there something I'm doing wrong ?

Frank, do you actualy REMEMBER what all 1024 controls on your Pocket Dial are ? Do you repeat the same controls for different tracks ?

Yeh, the Chaos Pad sounds like it could be fun. Evolution have just announced a new 16 knob controller; www.evolution-uk.com Could be OK. Just found out I'm doing a live set in Vienna next weekend so I'm going to have to sort something out on Monday.....

Harb, those german Midibox DIY controllers are the bomb ! Yes ! I'm taking six months off to build a 64 pot controller in to an old double neck Les Paul guitar......

I for one am very excited about the Surface One. If this thing works (and you can put a guitar strap on it) it could really become a brand new electronic instrument, the likes of which hasn't been seen since the thermamin. Except it will be like having 21 theramins and ten arms.

I spoke to Midiman UK last week and they said the Surface One wasn't available until July / August. Maybe it is in the US.....

Shame about the Oxygen 8. Chris, can't find any info about the Control 10 on the NI website or anything about IBK.....

Oh yeh. Can anyone tell me if the Midiman Oxygen 8 has a midi merge function ? It would be great to use that and a Pocket Control and leave my midi interface at home.....

Thanks Frank. The Control Live is by Kenton. The Pocket Dial looks great but I want BIG KNOBS ! Yeh baby. Do you reckon you could put a guitar strap on the Doepfer ? That would be cool. I like the look of the Midiman Surface One but it\'s not going to be available until July / August.
