Re: lost inspiration
agree with others- smoke a ton of weed. it might not motivate you to do anything, but maybe you'll feel better about it. i've been lacking motivation myself these days (see above), but was thinking the other day about how much i wanted to hear "artist x" remixed by "artist y". since it doesn't exist...

Re: Issue warping a reggae track
try to find the first kickdrum that starts on a downbeat, then right click to "set as start point" or something (sorry, at work so don't have live available to see actual command text). that will start that kickdrum at "0". find the next one on the downbeat, then move it so that falls on "1" measure...

totally agree. if you are not getting assaulted by the performer at the shows you are going to, you are going to the wrong shows.doghouse wrote:A bunch of weenies. Re: Best seasonal deals 2014 edition.
i was so pissed last year after SSL offered the X-Panda for $999 on black friday weekend, and then they reneged when they saw how popular it was. i tried to order from several different shops, all had the same story- "SSL offered the price, then said they can't fulfill most of the orders". i'm not s...

Re: Phase inverting or reversing polarity?
i think the common use for reversing the phase on a snare track is when you have both a microphone on top and one on bottom of the snare, you would reverse the phase of the bottom mic (most of the time). if using utility for this, you would reverse phase on both left & right signal. of course, compa...

Re: Ever heard of a bass phase aligner?
while this might address phase issues due to left/right alignment, it does not address the bigger problem of phase issues due to early reflections. i use a subwoofer with an internal crossover, so anything below the crossover point is mono-ed and comes out of the subwoofer. this alleviates any phase...

Re: Rant: Why I hate Live
i'm guessing the reason that a spectral analyser doesn't make its way as a default into tracks for processing reasons, i.e. not having 30+ spectral analysers all processing individual tracks would be a tremendous CPU hog. if reason is doing that, they probably have a nifty way of just using that pro...
