dual g5 not fast enough any more?

any ideas how to get 6 to run as well as 5??

i have multi channels bussed in to PT HD#3 and used to happily
run 20 channels with tons of fx etc
now live 6 grinds to a clicking glitching halt after only a few channels

any help at all will be welcome before i reluctantly go back to 5
