one solution would be to turn the auto warping off in the preferences>record-warp-launch menu.
then you wouldn't be able to use the clip envelopes, but you could do one of the following.

1. use the envelope for the whole channel in the arrangement view, or

Using different programs to mix can have just as much to do with the sound as using different consoles. Each program reads the audio differently and uses different mixing algorithms to sum the audio to stereo. Another factor IMO is if the mixdown is done in realtime, or just ...

I don't think this is possible in battery 2, but battery 3 has this capability.
