Re: Make every midi note to play a single midi note.

I want every received midi note to play drum rack's single note.
Anyone can give me some solutions on this problem?

I think you can solve this problem in a matter of minutes using the info view — Cmd (or Ctrl) - Opt- L or bottom left arrow in the GUI — and looking around all the parts of a drum ...

Making the effect through M4L is the best, but my ableton is standard version which does not includes M4L

Is there anyone who use windows 8

I'm planning to reset my computer. Remove everything including the windows 7 which I'm currently using.

I was aware of the news that windows 8 has released and I wanna know if Live 9 works with windows 8 properly.

Is there anyone who will tell me about windows 8 ?

Re: Making Kick Drum

I'm guessing the technique you've heard about is layering multiple kick samples using EQ and compression.

What I do a lot is a little bit of both, I'll use a kick sample with a lot of character to the thwack and then layer a synthesized kick for the low end thud.

Basically you would probably want ...

Making Kick Drum

I usually make the kick with synthesizing (Using the pitch go down drastically)

But I heard that there is a way using EQ, Compression and layering.

Anyone knows about this way of making kick?

Please tell me in detail...

Thanks :P

Wideness of sound

These days I'm spending times on practicing mixing&mastering.
I usually make Electro things...(House techno etc.)
However, I find out that my sound has no wideness, I feel the sound is just gathered in the middle.(Especially the synth Bass)
At first I thought it's the problem of my synthesizing ...

Livid code

I'm planning to purchase livid code soon.
Is there anybody in this forum using Code or Livid's other controllers?
Is it good? Is it worth to buy it?
Heard there's some products with problems with the resistance of the knobs.
Thank you for reading.

Re: Any advice for mixing and mastering?

Watch Pensados Place and check out this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q-xMOHKFWjI

Maybe start simple. Add a tool to your kit 1 at a time. Learning each ...
