laptop soundcard?
I'm looking for what would have been a pcmcia soundcard for a Dell Precision M90 laptop but I think with the new format it is now a PCI Express slot (sorry for my confusion). Anyone know if these exist or what kind are recommended? I really only need a small profile setup for home recording in a ver...

Anyone notice that the maudio microtrack loses battery charge pretty quickly while turned off? Any solution?

Thanks. That was what I was looking for. I tried something else though so I thought to post it. I made the loop following the recording, then set the loop brackets so they fell on an even bar ( 1 or 2), and then adjusted the clip bpm so that the midi notes fell within the loop and looped properly th...

loop question
So I think I've looked around enough at this point to ask this: Is there any way to create a midi drum loop (played live from a pad controller), and then essentially reset the bar markers so that what Ableton considers a bar is defined by your drum loop (and keep the original beats per minute intact...

Thanks. That's my current way of working right now. But there are many times where I would like to just duplicate an entire rack of vsts and then vary the settings in a subtle way. Bouncing the track while I'm working is a little too final, and I typically like to be able to make modifications right...

copying tracks
I think there must be a way to do this but haven't figured it out yet. Is there a way to copy an entire track (midi or audio) and paste it as a new track? For example, when I have a complicated chain of effects and settings that would be easier copied and pasted instead of dupilcating it by hand? Th...

simultaneous firewire devices problem?
For anyone interested: I just noticed with the pairing of my maudio fw410 and my lacie external hd (firewire also), that I got strange clicks and pops ONLY when I played guitar over parts of a piece that were being read (I suppose) from the external hd where all my data is stored. In other words, no...
