I was summing in the computer before, which would export my master with all of my return & send tracks added.

Because I am now using a summing mixer, I am going into Ableton Live tracks 1-2 to monitor and record my mix.

Thank You. I have never had this happen before. I think that it may have something to do with how I imported the comp track into the bass session that I was working on. I am going through in chunks and making minor bumps to get the bass to fit. I should not have to do this, though. Baffling!

I have a very odd sync issue.

Right, so as I am editing tracks, chopping up bits... I keep accidentally selecting the red automation line and have to disable it over and over again.

This is popping up when I am editing, not recording. For example, if I change the volume for a track on the mixer, suddenly an automation line appears in my track.

Is there a way to prevent this from happening?

I am trying to make edits in Arrangement View, but whenever I change the Mixer or add plug-ins, a red automation line appears and I have to turn it off over and over, or I will accidentally adjust parameters.

Thanks for the reply. No fancy routing. It's simply a guitar into input 4. In Clip / Session view, it always records stereo, but in Arrangement view it shifted to mono and I am baffled as to why. It's happened before randomly.

I have had this happen a few times but I am at a loss to explain why. For no apparent reason, the stereo track that I was working on has become mono. I didn't change any of the settings. Any advice on how to fix this when it happens? Thanks!

This may not be an issue with the Beta version. I'm not sure. Perhaps I made something inactive?

I recorded a midi drum track. When I try to add additional hits to my loop, I hear the sound but midi data will not record to the track. The track is armed. I can draw hits in, but if I run the track ...

I imported 7 samples, all recorded at the same time that are the same length.

Can I choose a loop in and out point on one of those samples and copy to each of the other 6?

Do any of you use a lot of hardware eq's, compressors and limiters when mixing Ableton tracks?

Can you offer any basic advice on how to do this? I've been exporting my tracks to Pro Tools for mixing, but I'd much rather do it all in Ableton to save time.
