I think this is very true, on those levels Live is not such a convenient tool to use in a live environment.
Integrating Program Change within a rack for example, and having the Macros following would be lovely.

Re: Copy time instead of just copy
I still don't really get the point to Copy Time.
To Cut you need to have the choice to Cut Time or not, which is the case.
To Paste it's the same, you have the choice.
But Copying or Copying Time seems redundant to me, since it has no effect on the part you are copying.

Re: Since v9.2 Ableton is borderline useless for me
This is all so random. I believe that Stromkraft is right: hardware & software (other than Ableton) should probably get high priority and it is all so subjective also, it can depend on someone's appreciation of a "not crowded project" or a "well maintained computer" etc...

Re: Copy time instead of just copy
I usually just Copy something, and then paste it using Paste Time.
I don't see the need to have an option to Copy Time when you can choose only when you are pasting.

Re: microphone for audio to midi
Hey, I don't use this function a lot (I always forget about it!), but did you simply try with the built-in mic of your computer (if you have one)? Or if you have a smartphone, to record a voice memo and then put it in Ableton, just to see what happens? As long as there are not parasites everywhere, ...

Re: Render/Apply FX on the track
A fast way is to "Freeze" the track, then "Erase" (I don't know the exact term as I'm not using Ableton in English).

Re: MIDI clips + Follow Actions + Drum Rack = clicks & pops
Hello, What do you mean by "at the transitions between clips"? Let's say you are running Scene#1 and press the play button of Scene#2, via a MIDI command, shortcut or simply clicking on it, so the clips on the line of Scene#2 start to blink, announcing that they will play next. Is it when ...

Re: Integration with Arduino
I remember, when I was starting to use Arduino, I found a few m4l devices but it was never a big success, probably due to my lack of knowledge on both. All I can say is that now that I have experience with Arduino, I do as much as I can inside of it to get a stand-alone device and avoid some additio...

Re: Session view
Open one of your sets in session view Select the tracks you'd like to have in your big set Copy Open a new set (or the big one if you already imported some material in it) Paste ;) Otherwise just create a blank set, and from the navigator of Ableton go find the other projects: from there you can dra...

Re: How to assign midi cc to the rack instrument 8 knobs?
Salut salut, Je crois que pour avoir un contrôleur qui se "mappe" automatiquement aux macros d'un rack, il faut que tu passes par un script pour choisir ton contrôleur (ici le Mox6) comme surface de contrôle dans les préférences. Tu as des infos ici: http://createdigitalmusic.com/2009/07/a...

Re: Mono vs Stereo on Ableton
If you record on an audio track with a single physical input, like for example, your bass guitar in Input 1 of your sound card, Ableton will record it in Mono. The file will be a mono canal file. Any other way of creating an audio file (freezing, consolidate, resampling, etc…) will end up with a Ste...

Did you try freezing and overwrite? Though it's not for a selection.
Freezing and overwriting for Groups would be nice also!
