I'd like some help understanding routing
Hello
I've got an M Audio Transit, & I want to record my electric guitar. I have some very basic questions.
1) On the Input Config item in the preferences audio tab, you can chose
"1(mono) & 2 (stereo)" and "1/2 stereo".
[Edit - strange but true - I looked at these settings today and it 1(mono ...

obnoxious click in right speaker when rendering
Hi there,
I am using a clip that when rendered causes a really loud click in the right speaker. I don't hear this during regular play - I don't even hear something unusual happeing at the point the rendered click occurs.
I took the effects of the track - no change. If I turn the track volume off ...

"AIFF" not recognized file format!
hmm - Ableton is rejecting my .aiff files. I don't remember it doing that before. I've been having some trouble with my OS - I'm wondering if that is the source. I get the message that ableton can't recognize the file type "aiff". aif and wav no-extension files are just fine

Thanks for such a quick response. I tried it & now I have follow up questions.
Arent warp markers for tweaking parts of a clip that's a little out of time here & there? Does one use them for changing the percived speed of the whole clip? When, as you suggest, I move the markers around to speed up ...

preparing loops - need some tips!
Hi,
I've just started using live. I took some of my favorite songs, made little aif files of parts I'd like to loop and dropped them into a live set.
I was really stunned by how live interprets the BPMs. In one case, clips from the same song came out with wildly different bpms. and whats more, I ...
