Well, I guess I posted too soon...
I'll leave it up in case anyone else is in search of the same thing as me. I had found posts about mda's TestTone, but since I'm running 64 bit Live, it wasn't working for me. What did work, however, is MeldaProduction's Moscillator. Just what I was looking for ...

Tone Generator without using M4L
I'm needing to generate a tone that plays infinitely, whether playback is stopped or playing. I know this can be done a number of ways with M4L devices, but I'm currently on Live Standard, and literally the only reason I'd be upgrading to Live Suite would be for this, which seems like a bit of a ...

Re: Pro Tools Mini Grand in Ableton?
Thanks for the heads up Ajbbklyn. What a bummer. I wanted to play the Mini Grand VST in a live setting. I guess I'll just keep using the built in Ableton piano sounds.

Pro Tools Mini Grand in Ableton?
I was hoping to use the Mini Grand plug-in (that comes as part of Avid's Virtual Instruments install) within Ableton. The plug-in works fine within PT, but no sign of it in Ableton. Any suggestions?
Worth noting: From what I can tell, the plug-in file is a .big file that doesn't live within the ...

Re: Control TWO instances of Ableton with ONE device
Thanks, Dragonbreath. Have you used one in a similar fasion?
My worry is that USB splitters aren't meant for this application.

Re: Control TWO instances of Ableton with ONE device
Laptop already has an SSD and is maxed out on RAM. I know most bigger acts use redundant backups all the time, so I'm just looking for the most efficient way of using one.

Control TWO instances of Ableton with ONE device
I currently use a NI Maschine to control Ableton in live performances. Because so much of our live show is running through Ableton, we're looking into setting up a redundant backup, where a second laptop (MBPro) would be running an identical instance of Ableton. All MIDI instruments would be sending ...

Sudden & significant audio ducking on specific VST preset?
Hey all,
I have a fairly hefty set with 20-30 VSTs running (all being controlled with keboards and controllers via USB). I've been running this set for a while now, but while making some tweaks to it yesterday, the audio on of my VSTs suddenly dropped way down. The computer (and track) are still ...
