forwarding of sysex messages to plugins

I am looking to use a softsynth (specifically the Native Instruments FM8) with a microtuning app called "Li'l Miss Scale Oven" (nonoctave.com). The author of LMSO states that the FM7, at least, is ideal for such use "in a plugin environment/host that supports the forwarding of sysex messages to ...

To all Mac people,

I have ordered "Li'l Miss Scale Oven" from nonoctave.com and conversed with its creator Jeff Scott. It seems his software does not use the pitchbend route, and therefore does not reduce your softsynth to mono. Yay! At least he tells me this is true for my Ableton Operator and ...

drum pads to Impulse

Picked up an Alesis Control Pad (much like Roland's Octapad, if they still make that) and want to control drum kits in Impulse (Live 6). Getting MIDI in, MIDI notes are recorded, but they don't relate to the drums. I can drag these notes over to the drum positions in the MIDI piano roll and the ...

A quarter tone tuning would provide 24 notes to the octave, if you get my meaning. Eighth tone would have 48. Perhaps this is more a matter of MIDI note mapping. Long ago I worked with Yamaha synths which could produce quarter tone, eighth tone, various justified scales, etc.

microtunings with Operator?

Anyone have experience with trying to get quarter- or eighth-tone setups out of Operator, or any kind of alternate tunings? Is this even possible?

If anyone else is interested in creating music this way (feedback loops), let me say that adding limiters after the delays works wonders! I've had to use them occasionally in my hardware setups, but in Live this seems absolutely essential. I'd be happy to elaborate for any interested parties...

Creating a delay matrix?

I would like to create an arrangement of several channels each containing a delay effect wherein each channel has multiple sends. These sends would feed each channel input, creating feedback paths which could be "played". Have done this in hardware for years, but can't quite figure it in Live.

Help ...
