Does anyone know of any option or a way to hack live so that all tracks/groups are collapsed except the selected track? In other words, it would be nice to have the option of unfolding only the selected track. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Nick

Templates
Would be nice if you could choose from different templates. I like to dedicate whole projects for processing individual things (bass/drums/etc). Would be nice if I could choose a predefined template for each of these projects.

Changes to zoom in arrangement window
The one big beef I have with live 9 is the lack of ability to easily zoom in and out in the arrangement page. This is much much easier in other daws (e.g. Logic) to be able to not only zoom out, but also decrease the size of each track. It becomes very hard to view everything in your track once your ...

Busses
It would be nice if you could have 3 sections for tracks:
a) Main section
b) Return section
c) Bus section
And allow audio to be routed as a send from tracks to the busses. This can be achieved now by putting busses in the Return section, but would be tidier to keep this section seperate.

Don't audio hide certain plugin windows
It would be nice if you could globally hide plugin windows, but select individual plugins as an exception to this. For instance, I always want my metering plugin to be shown (displayed on a second monitor) no matter what track I click on, but all other plugins I would want auto hide turned on.

Sends on audio effect racks / instrument racks
I wish you could send the audio from individual chains in audio effect racks / instrument racks to return channels and other audio tracks.

Re: Why Compress Drums?
Reduce peaks and raise RMS of individual hits. Really useful for hits you want coming through louder in the mix without the peaks destroying headroom (e.g. kicks and snares).
