One workaround i had in mind was using the arrangement view.

I would set the mpc locator at 01:01:1 before each take > solo a track in the mpc

Then arm global record and track record in live

When i'd hit play on the mpc, live would start recording... records a few bars.

Then i'd go over and over ...

I'd like to track down beats in Live using synchronisation.

I have been messing with midi clock/mtc with mpc-2kxl as master.

So i switch on ext sync, put quantization to 1/4 (actually i tried different quantization settings) and punch in / out for recording to a clip slot.

But i never get ...

You could use phatmatik pro within reason.

Is there a way to extend notes or ignore note-off messages in Live??

I got the same problem with drum pads similar to dd-55.

Can play using battery, can't record midi properly...

Anyone find a solution yet?

What's the internal bit resolution of live 5?

I always have to seriously cut down the volume of vst synths (especially arturia stuff) so they don't go in distortion.

So i guess the live mixing engine isn't all that...

yea, are there any vst MIDI editors with more editing capabilities that you can sync to the tempo of live & save the MIDI sequences within the plugin itself.

Is live up to the job to sequence hardware samplers and synths?

I'd like to sequence my akai s-1000, zoom phrase sampler and electronic drum computer with live.

It'd be great if could do everything in live

Then i can instantly capture the sequenced loops and mangle them up.

i'm using live as an extern effects unit with my dj setup at the moment. I'm really into scratching and backspinning breaks and stuff.

I know there must be like tons of great vst effects i can use to spice up my set.
