Put a Utility after it, and in the drop down menu under Input select Left instead of Stereo, it will then use only the louder left channel (for both L and R).

The Info Panel and manual clearly say Drift's Glide is only available if the Voice Mode is Mono and the notes are played legato.

Drift is not Serum, your expectation Drift's Glide will work like Serum (or any other synth) is completely wrong.

With Simpler set to Slice Mode, the slices start from the C1 octave and may not cover all notes, so you need to take that into account when arpeggiating.

There isn't really any setup more "correct" than others.

Glide/portamento don't work the same in every synth or instrument (software or hardware).

I think you need to arm the MIDI track or set its monitoring to "In", otherwise MIDI input won't pass through the Track.

You can also load FX in separate Chains in a Audio Effect Rack, zone the Chains separately and then map a range of notes (pads in controllers like Push usually send MIDI notes) to the Chain Selector.

You can load instances of Expression Control or Shaper MIDI in Drum Rack pads, or key-mapped Chains in Instrument Racks.

Live's modulators can modulate across multiple Tracks.
