Re: mapping tempo controls via midi
I dont get it: the fine control only goes from .00 to .99? Thats 100 steps. That should be no problem with relation to midi's 128 steps??

mapping tempo controls via midi
Hi Guys,
I've got an akai mpk mini and I am trying to map two of the pan pots to the coarse and fine parts of the tempo control in live. It works fine, apart from the fact that the fine control jumps around. For example, if I try to dial in .95 bpm it jumps to .81. I then dial up to, say, .30 and ...

Re: Color Palette
Great. Thx for the reply.
It is what I had already read on the forum. I just needed to be absolutely sure, so I could lay it to rest and stop thinking about possible solutions.
Cheers m8.

Re: Color Palette
Nope. I actually mean the little pop-up box with all the little squares used to assign color to clips and tracks.

Color Palette
Hi Guys,
I just need a confirmation on this, in order to be ABSOLUTELY sure:
Do I HAVE to live with the color palette that live is supplying, or is there a way (ANY way!) to change this???
Cheers.

Re: Can Novation Nocturn return value to default via Midi???
Hi Everybody,
I just figured it out myself.
1. Set the parameters in the control map to 'max'=127 'min'=0 and 'step'=63
2. Go into the list that appears in the midi channel browser that appears when you turn on midi learn in live. Then adjust the 'min' value of the parameter to -99% (or -0.99 for ...

Can Novation Nocturn return value to default via Midi???
Hi Everybody. I just got myself a Novation Nocturn and am using it to control my Ableton Live Analog synth with. I can only do this using the MIDI functionality, which is ok as the mapping is very intuitive.
However, I have a problem getting values back to their default position (such as center ...

Drum rack kit replaces kit already in rack
Hi Everybody,
I got a problem that's got me stumped:
I've got a drum rack with a kit that takes up one square of space (i.e. 16 pads). When I try to drag an extra kit into the drum rack, it automatically takes up the space of the original kit.
However, I want both kits to be playable and situated ...
