Beatseeker doesn't work on P3S, it would need to be updated (incompatible Max objects)... which is very unlikely.

Shit, I just found out you don't need to put them in an instrument rack, you can just save a preset as is. That's right. The workaround is to save your VST/AU presets in instrument racks.

It would be great if the different "snapshots" could be midi mapped. I want to be able to press a button and have a "variation" take place. This is possible with the Ableton implementation inside Racks but sadly not with the Performance Pack and Variations. I don't know if there...

Stick Complex Pro onto a track and suddenly it gains a whole load of amplitude out of nowhere without actually sounding like it has. Sound similarity and tagging are different features so I'm not sure about what you're asking for.
Sound similarity doesn't use the tags to find similar, so it works with any sample (provided it's shorter than 60sec).
