Thank you for pointing me in the right direction. It's fixed now.

Scene Selection Button Misbehavior

By default, the column of 8 Scene selection buttons will start up a new Scene on the next bar. However, I must have pressed something unintentionally as now it will start the Scene the moment I press it, just as if you were to press the Up or Down buttons on the upper right side of the Push. How can...

Re: Live 9.5

They are always the MD version as far as I know, and there are also no options to oversample on render (which is what you get with The Drop). It would be a good idea to allow to both oversample and switch to HD on render, but those decisions are up to Ableton not me. I'll add optional switching to ...

Free Korg Minilogue, as an Instrument Rack

I don't think I'll be trying this myself—I have enough sounds already—but I suspect others may be interested. It's free:

Komplete Kontrol parameter communication with Push 2

Hi everyone, A question about Native Instruments' Komplete Kontrol (the software browser that houses all their instruments, not the keyboard) and Push 2. When loading plugins (AU format) via Komplete Kontrol and choosing new presets, the parameter values of the presets appropriately changes on the P...

Re: How Should Preset Mapping with 3rd Party Plugins Work?

There's related but separate issue I've been trying to figure a workaround for. When accessing Native Instruments plugins (AU) via Komplete Kontrol, parameter values for Push mappings do not update fully on the Push display when choosing new presets—the value changes, though the circle graphic does ...

Re: Getting a full synth sound in Ableton Live 9 Suite

Since you have Suite, you may consider using the new 9.5 synths, particularly Bass and Poli, as your primary synths, as they sound exceptional. Analog is capable, but I think those 2 new ones sound especially wonderful. I would avoid using effects when new and still learning about synthesis. Focus o...

Re: How Should Preset Mapping with 3rd Party Plugins Work?

Pretty much. I have some VST preset packs on my site and for Komplete 10 you can get the preset pack for all instruments Here Note tho this is all for VST versions, not AU. Thank you for confirming. I did see AudioModder mentioned when I searched the forum. If I decide to use VSTs, it'll certainly ...

How Should Preset Mapping with 3rd Party Plugins Work?

Hi everyone, I believe I've gone through the relevant sections in the manual and did some forum searches. Some things either aren't just working properly or (more likely) I'm misunderstanding how they should work. It all relates to loading Native Instruments (AU) patches. 1. To map 3rd party plugins...

Re: Live 9.5

Rather than create a new thread, I'll post my filter question here since I saw so much great filter info here posted by Andy of Cytomic. It was stated in a post earlier in this thread that the new 9.5 filters are MD (medium resolution) in real time. However, when rendered to audio are they also MD, ...

Re: Auto Filter: As a Serial and Parallel filter

Thank you for the explanations! I had thought the slightly thicker dividing bar (as between Erosion and Flanger below) indicated a parallel signal. I do understand it means that Flanger is applied to all chains in the rack. http://i.imgur.com/hrhLkqZ.png?1 Ok 1- serial/parallel . you are a little of...

Auto Filter: As a Serial and Parallel filter

Hey everyone, I have a question from the perspective of a new Live user with limited familiarity with synths with more than a single filter. 1) Is my understanding correct that the Auto Filter can be a serial or parallel filter? When added to the device chain, but not so far to the end that it is se...

Re: Advice on new laptop

Cheers for the advice guys! Think I'm going to go with a 13" macbook pro with the 512gb Hard drive as what I use currently is pretty basic. My only other worry is will the 13" screen be too small? I suppose there is always the option of plugging it into a monitor at home. I use to use a 15" MBP. I ...

Re: Selecting/Reselecting Bars with Longer Sequences

Ah, I see what you mean. The only way I know how to do this is to go to Clip mode and changing the Loop Length - to 17.0.0 in this case, making sure that the first bar at least is within the current selection before altering. Otherwise it'll lengthen the clip from the current position. Ah, that's a...
