Not that anyone here would remember me, but I finally made the plunge and bought the upgrade to Live 4. Happy, happy! Joy, joy!

I'm going to guess it's more or less the same version as the microKontrol ships with.

In one session you may use only:
-6 tracks (only two MIDI tracks)
-1 return
-1 Ableton plug-in (unlimited VSTs and AUs)

-No control of external MIDI gear

That's it I think. Quite able little app really.

So we're only allowed to use Impuls and Simpler if we want to use sample instruments? The sound libraries that comes with samplers are copyrighted you know.

I was having a look in the Ableton shop to see what the prices were for the Live/MIDI controller bundles after the release of v.4, but to my surprise there were none. Just the Live 4 software and a bag and some T-shirts...

Does anyone know anything about this? Will they offer any ...

I´m not yet a Live user but I´ve been playing with the demos a lot, and I must say I´m worried about this upgrade. I´ve bought a 12" iBook about a month ago to use with Live and as far as I can see my screen relastate will be to small using Live 4.
