Re: Loading custom drum racks

Yes you can create a Drum Rack in Live and then export it Move.
The preset needs to respect the Move's preset structure, i.e a Drum Rack within a rack, using Drum Sampler, you can only use the audio FX devices available on Move etc...
A quick way to do it is to open a Move preset in Live, swap ...

Re: Tempo sync with live Pianist

Hi,
Is there any way to set this up so that Live would follow the tempo of my finger drumming on Push? Maybe via some sort of max for live device that makes a virtual audio input?
Thanks

Just curious if the push2displayprocess ever limits your music making on these laptops.
Thanks

How's Push2displayprocess run on 2014-15 15-inch MBP?

Hi Folks,
I'm thinking of getting a 2015 15-inch MBP from the refurbished store. I'm currently on a Early 2011 15-inch MBP which struggles to run the push2displayprocess and a medium sized set.

For all of those that are running Push2 on a 15-inch 2014-15 MBP - does it run ok? Do you still have ...

Re: Am I the Only One That Notices This

I'm not sure why Ableton choose not to support Arrangement mode better, but maybe they felt it was too much of a compromise to have partial support and to have full support was too messy.

Or they are going to come out with a piece of hardware that specifically addresses arrangement tasks. Who ...

Anyone remember the original push 1 price?

And how long it took before they reduced the price?

I ask because I'm thinking of selling my push2 because it bogs down my old macbook. I'm trying to speculate how long it will be before it depreciates.

Thanks

Any idea if you can import midi clips into redux? I couldn't find it in their online manual.
Thanks

Re: Velocity control for chain selection for effect racks

Hi,
I'm really interested in this device but I'm a Max for Live beginner and I'm having trouble getting it working in Max4Live 7 and Live 9. Should it work in these newer versions of the software? How do I create the midi device from the code?
Thanks

Re: Beatseeker = P.O.S.

Hi,

I also had trouble with Beatseeker so I returned it. My plan was to use it on finger drumming tracks to detect tempo changes, but it was unable to do so.

It got me thinking though...for applications like my mine, were beatseeker is determining tempo on a midi track, would it be possible to use ...

Re: Push2DisplayProcess

Alright, quick disclaimer then. Use this at your own risk. Though it isn't voodoo, its just sending a message to the commandline to kill the process.
It'll only work in OSX and uses imp.push from David Butler and Shell from Orcutt/Bernstein.
I added a mappable button for it and you can control it ...

@Pinner, Do you use MFL? I may have another method for killing the display. The push2display process will still run in the background but at about 1-2% CPU. And the display will just be blank.
Yes. I'd be interested to see your method. Thanks

Re: Push2DisplayProcess

No the display is completely disabled. Though the encoders above the screen still control whichever encoder mode you are in (ie: control the faders while in mix mode). So it abolishes some functionality such as push-screen dependent tasks like browsing and trimming samples.

But the load that is ...

Re: Push2DisplayProcess

I've been experimenting with a crude workaround that seems to maintain screen-independent push2 functionality and disables the screen and push2displayprocess.

I'm on an (elderly) macbook:

- Find the folder the holds push2displayprocess (Live->show package contents->Contents->Push2)
- Open Live and ...

Re: Pad controllers with similar pad size to push?

I tried the launchpad pro and I was a bit thrown off my the different dimensions of the 8x8 grid when compared to push. I felt that learning to play a grid is tough enough without having to worry about the minor changes in muscle memory that would accompany switching between the 2 controllers. I was ...
