Same experience over here. Sounds like there's a bug.

another way i've been thinking about this is if we can have a dropbox for a loop which is then automatically sliced and placed into a set of consecutive clips on a track, then set the clips up to trigger each other..

Had to open .../Max5/support/LivePacks/MaxForLive.alp

That seemed to solve my Max For Live Error message too..

Where is it hiding? I can't find it in spotlight, the Docs folder is empty, and looking in ~/Library/Application Support didn't turn up anything useful.

I'm having a slightly similar problem. M4L is showing up in preferences, and everything indicates that i've got it authorized correctly, but I'm still getting the Max for Live Error in the help view.

i'd like to +1 this request, as it would accommodate a clip-based mlr type instrument for the monome, extending mlr to midi loops as well as audio.

edit - also, since we can only jump a relative number of beats in a loop (rather than to an absolute point), observing playhead info makes life easier.

While I was waiting for beta4 to download, I decided to see if I could get beta3 to continue working by changing my system clock (via Date & Time preferences in OS X), and sure enough, after changing the date to Sept 29, beta3 opened right up, notifying me that it will expire on Sept 30.

i wanted to make the top row into clip stop, but can't seem to figure out the messaging scheme..

the hyperlinks in the reference files are broken.. in live.object, the links to live.path and Live Object Model don't do anything.. same for the live.path reference's links to live.object and the LOM..

does anyone know where to find the Live Object Model document? nothing useful came up in the ...

this seems like a live bug more than a max for live bug, but for some reason i can't fine tune the tempo with my mouse. it always moves to an integer value.

use safari to authorize.. if you use firefox, everything will stay exactly the same when you click authorize and nothing will happen and you will feel like a complete dumbass.

this happened to me on more than one occasion.

not yet.. haven't even really gotten it set up yet.. hopefully by next week i'll have some fun things.
