You are correct - I was confusing the grid resolution with the quantize value. I always assumed that the grid determined the quantize value and how notes or event would 'snap' to it but I see now that is not the case, thanks.

When editing the MIDI notes within a clip there are different quantize settings available via the menu when right clicking at the bottom right hand corner of the window. It seems that each clip can have different quantize settings assigned to it this way.

When you double click on a clip to open it in an editor I think that the clip should be highlighted in some way - perhaps with a temporary border or a colour change. As it is, there is no good way to identify which clip is actually open and being edited.

I would like to open more than one Live set at a time to simplify copying between sets. Having to close and open sets' files to simply copy one clip is very tedious.

It’s still far too easy to accidentally delete clips. Many other applications have the option to lock items and prevent them from being moved, changed or deleted.

This is such a simple and useful option I’m surprised it hasn’t been implemented yet.

I would like to be able to resize the instruments and effects because most of the controls are microscopic in size. A simple button to open instruments and effects to the same large size controls as most plugin devices would be very helpful and save eyestrain.

Cheers TSE. I've tried a few things like this but the level still seems low. There is no external gain to adjust via USB unfortunately. Luckily the digital audio is good quality so I can just normalise it a little in an editor, but it's another step I'd happily do without

I have connected my Roland JU-06 to Live via USB. I send MIDI to it and record it's audio but the audio level is quite low - around -30dB.

Obviously the unit's volume control has no effect while recording via USB and there's no way to adjust the record gain in LIve (as far as I know). The ...
