Re: Guitar Input Issue - Scarlett 2i2 - MacOS
Thanks to a user on the aturia forums , this turned out to be an issue with the Voice Isolation mode in MacOS! Turning that OFF finally made everything work as expected within Ableton. I guess there should be a warning in the docs for Mac users (or maybe there is and I did not do a careful RTFM ...

Re: Guitar Input Issue - Scarlett 2i2 - MacOS
Unfortunately, the scarlett software is only for 3rd gen and higher units. My interface is 2nd gen and the control software does not recognize it. Also the focusrite website officially does state that 2nd gen devices do not need the control software.

Re: Guitar Input Issue - Scarlett 2i2 - MacOS
Thank you for trying to help. On Mac, it actually doesn’t need any drivers and there aren’t any updates available officially since it works with core audio in macOS.

Guitar Input Issue - Scarlett 2i2 - MacOS
Hi,
I am facing an issue when I plug my guitar into the scarlett 2i2 (2nd gen) and try to listen/record via Ableton Live on my Mac. The direct monitoring from scarlett is fine. However, despite setting the right input source (mono input channel 1) in the Ableton Live settings as well as on the ...

Re: An Ode To:Closeness(Eletronic & Alt-Rnb???)
I'm no professional so as a lay-person, this was really nice to listen to. I liked the vocals a lot and the overall vibe of the mix is super chill and very cinematic! Could certainly be in an intimate scene in a movie or series :-) I just wish at around 1:47 the track crescendoed with harder beats ...

[Tech House / EDM] noizfactory - Thought Control
Hi fellow Abletoneers,
This is my first proper attempt at making a Tech House / EDM type track in Ableton 11.x. Sound Cloud link below:
Thought Control
I primarily used Arturia Analog Lab / Pigments, UVI Falcon and stock Ableton devices for the instruments and fx. Vocal samples are from LANDR ...

Re: [Query] Multiband Dynamics Without Any Changes Adds Gain?
Thanks for the confirmation! I assumed I was missing something obvious and messing up some setting at my end. Good to know!

[Query] Multiband Dynamics Without Any Changes Adds Gain?
Hi,
Hope this is not a stupid question and somebody better informed can shed some light on this. I am trying to study some of the Ableton devices (and the related audio processing concepts) and noticed that if I add a Multiband Dynamics device on an instrument, the output gain seems to get affected ...

[CBB] Export Audio Should Initialise In Current Project Directory
Hi,
Not sure if this has been discussed before but a simple search didn't turn up anything for me. The export audio dialog defaults to the last exported path all the time. It would be useful and a quicker workflow if it defaults to the currently open live set's directory instead.
Thanks,

[QUERY] Automating Volume/Envelope Of Each Note In A MIDI Clip
Hi,
Apologies if this is a basic question but I have not been able to figure this out in a long time despite having looked online at the docs and forums. I can automate aspects of a whole MIDI clip which affects all the notes together. However, how do I change the volume of each note over time ...
