Whose got good tips and advice for constructing and performing a live set? (i mean a couple of hours of my own tunes, with some vocalists and the odd instrument)

Asking cos I know there are many ways to do it.

Tips here or links would be massively appreciated.

Hmmmmm. I thought I had paid attention to all the above: but now it's all working and I changed nothing.

I presume the autosearch hadn't run when I checked before.

Yh, I would assume all that, but mine is not recognising a single one. Even a simple EQ8 preset for example.

Dear Forumers,

So I had to reinstall Live.

I assumed if I kept the old presets folder and then put it into the new User Library, hey presto, I'd have my old presets but no joy!!!

What can I do?

I’m experiencing the same symptoms as you’re describing and while my machine ain’t such a beast, it still a fast machine. But we’re running the same OS and the same audio interface.

Also, no need to translate the gates into sound or midi, just record them straight to Live will work. But don’t listen to them too loud and high pass filter them.

the thing is my CPU on task manager is hardly budging above 5% for ableton and 15% for all processes

My computer is blazing fast (built for CGI) but often when I run Live with various VSTs the audio starts to crackle way before it should (i have got used to understanding roughly what loads it).

Also one day it will run a project fine then the next it will crackle with no seeming pattern to the ...

gotcha. just sometimes you have multiple different reverbs for different FX.

Such a cool plugin. Could have loads more functionalities. Just crossed my mind because I was always like:"why can't the pitch go up repeat for example instead of just down?"
