Re: realistic VST, soundpacks and samples for ethnic/oriental EDM?
A newbie question: what's the difference between preset, set, and soundpacks, and what's specific to a DAW or usable in any DAW?
And also, if for example I have Ableton Lite, can I somehow export some of these things to Bitwig?

Re: VST and soundpacks and samples for ethnic/oriental EDM?
Try the KVR Bitwig forum.
I do. And that's definitely the best place to ask about things which are specifically for Bitwig.
But VST, soundpacks, samples collections, they are pretty much universal if I understood well? I mean, they can be used in any DAW, right?
And I've big respect for Ableton ...

Re: VST and soundpacks and samples for ethnic/oriental EDM?
That looks fantastic!
But I realise that I got so excited that I forgot to mention I'm with Bitwig.
I just had written about my decision (Bitwig over Ableton) in all the threads I had started lately, and probably my subconscious thought everybody knew already and I didn't have to write it anymore ...

realistic VST, soundpacks and samples for ethnic/oriental EDM?
Hi!
The title says it all.
That's my preferred genre.
And I would love to know what are the most recommended tools which can bring me there.
(Edit: I'm in Bitwig btw)
I guess that most producers sample ethnic/Oriental music, more than creating their own melody with very realistic sounding VST or ...

Re: Dreaming of a license for Suite 10, full or Edu.
Ok.
This has been a wonderful albeit short journey, which has led me to a destination which I ignored it existed: Bitwig.
And there continues my journey.
Thank you

Re: Am I doing the right thing or should I give up on Suite?
Thank you so much guys.
I will miss this community, and the bigger one floating around.
But I've opted for Bitwig.
It's all a big family though.
We'll catch-up

Re: did I really misunderstood how the audio to midi thing works? (Ableton told me so)
Hi!
I've discovered a couple of real time options.
I know there is something in Max too.
But, well.
I decided for Bitwig.
Nothing is forever, so, maybe in the future I'll come to Ableton again.
But for now, it felt right to me so...
Thank you for the support!

No I don't have it.
I meant, stick to the original plan of buying Live.
I've just discovered Bitwig few days ago.
I did download the trial of both.
But well. I don't understand anything yet.
So, I'm really like, abc.
That's why I'm asking.

did I really misunderstood how the audio to midi thing works? (Ableton told me so)
Hi everybody!
Just posted a similar thing in the max subforum, but I like to separate subjects instead of mixing them in one thread.
So, here I want to go deeper in the audio to midi feature of Ableton (which I understand it's not related to max).
I'm still trying to decide between Ableton and ...

audio to midi? or audio as a controller?
Hi!
I've called Ableton and I've been told that what I want to do is not how their audio to midi feature works, and they suggested I should build something with Max, or see if somebody did it already.
My goal is to use my voice as a controller for instruments.
1) I sing on a mic, and the program ...
