If you download the packs from the Ableton website (the packs section) you can keep the installers for future reinstall

The trial is the Suite version, which has everything. And your licence is the Intro version that has a subset of the devices/instruments/etc from Suite.

I prefer a monitor that has the same width as an ultra wide, but with more height. (Eg just a normal ratio large monitor or tv). The extra vertical screen space is really useful

Just did some tests on Windows, and when you tag one or more samples in a folder, Ableton creates a new folder underneath named 'Ableton Folder Info' with an XMP file inside containing the details of the tags and which samples they apply to.

Look into dummy clips to do this - you trigger clips using pads/keys/whatever, and they are linked to clips with the FX settings you want.

Not something I've tried, but it seems like a lot of gear for not much benefit, and latency might be an issue.

How about upgrading your controller to one with more channels and effects, and keep things digital?

You do need to control the cpu power states - min and max should be set to 100% and the cooling policy should be set to active. If that doesn't work from inside Windows, you might be able to control it in the bios.

Generally bigger is better, but you have to consider how much physical space you have and where your speakers will go. Some people prefer 2 or more monitors rather than one big one - you can have arrangement view and session view open at the same time on 2 screens.
