Are we likely to see something similar for Push?

Anyone else annoyed by this intrusive addition to layouts? It's bad enough we have to cycle through two more layouts with no way to use the jog to select. But this thing is adding notes to my clips just by being there. So If I want to change the pad layout it will inadvertently add unwanted random ...

Hmm ... but then the children of the parent don't have their own clips ... I guess they wouldn't

Ah ... you can do it with a drum rack

An instrument rack (C) on one cell and a drum rack (B) on another cell of a drum rack (A)

Map macros for the instrument rack (C)

Map macros for the drum rack (B)

Map those macros (of B and C) to the macros of the container drum rack (A)

Is that the correct ...

It would seem not as as a selected group track shows only the "Drop Audio Effects Here" hint.

Use case:

Access parameters or instrument rack macros from a single shared set of macros for performance

How would you do this? It seems like an oversight as surely otherwise you have to jump between ...

It’s got limits, like any device. A high spec laptop outperforms a low spec one just the same way. There are workarounds. Some people maintain two versions of their templates. One for standalone, one for desktop.

No laptop is one less thing to take to a gig. I've been gigging with mine recently and I'm glad I didn't have to take a laptop as well.

Have you imagined any particular features?

My guess would be no they don't plan to. I think Push and Move will always be a subset of Live.

Sorry yup I more meant manufacturing. Akai built Push 1. I thought it was also Push 2 but I may be wrong.

Along with the expressive chords and auto filter updates -- dare I say it feels like ableton might be listening and giving us more push some decent baseline performative features. Push might find a spot back on the desk if we keep it going!

Do audio interfaces in general with ADAT I/O work with Push, or do they specifically have to be ADAT expanders?

My Focusrite Scarlett Octopre just plugs in, for example. Which is an expander, not an audio interface.

But what about something like the new SSL 18? There are similar 1U devices from ...
