Re: [v1.6.1] MASCHINE PLUS/MK3/MIKRO MK3 Ableton Live 11 & 12.1 MIDI Remote Script
I bought it a while ago, really just need the transport controls at this point, but it seems to toggle play and stop, meaning it takes two clicks to play or stop. Do I have it set up wrong?

How to determine MIDI channel of notes in a clip?
My bad if this is too obvious, but I set up an external device to a MIDI channel and record a clip, the notes get recorded, but the playback never makes any sound. How can I determine if the notes were recorded with the channel I intended? (The MIDI Monitor is no help because it doesn't correctly ...

Re: Metronome silent on 1st beat when recording
If anyone's still following this, I noticed it's not just the metronome, because a note played on the first beat doesn't immediately sound either, but it's there on playback. So it's not just the metronome. Wth?

Re: Can APC40 navigate to a clip location?
I figured out that you can map one of the user knobs to scene select, so the track buttons plus this knob does it. Seems like there's no way to map a knob to track select (left and right arrows), so you have to use the track select buttons.

Re: Metronome silent on 1st beat when recording
11.3.4, Windows 11. Default new set (Count-in:1 Bar, Sound:Classic, Rhythm:Auto, Enable Only While Recording). Cue Out and Master Out are the same, Outputs 1/2.
As I fooled around with changing some of the options (different sound, Rhythm:1 Bar), I would (seemingly randomly) lose the entire count ...

Can APC40 navigate to a clip location?
If I press a button in the matrix it tries to record into that cell. Is there a way to move around the clip location matrix using the APC40 (mk2) instead of the PC keyboard? I just want to select a clip location without immediately going into Play or Record. Thanks.

Metronome silent on 1st beat when recording
I have a 1 bar count-in, metronome enabled for recording, 4/4 time, and get the 4 count-in clicks, but then 1 silent beat before the next 3 clicks. After that, the metronome clicks on every subsequent beat. Not a huge deal but it's a little distracting.

Re: How to determine tempo from captured MIDI?
I may have figured out a way to do it.
Based on ozinga's recommendation, I froze the captured midi track, then dragged the frozen clip onto an audio track. I then dragged *that* clip into a looper device on another audio track. The looper figured out the tempo, and it seems to be pretty accurate ...

Re: How to determine tempo from captured MIDI?
From the lack of replies and my failure to find out online, does no one do this? It seems like it would be an obvious feature for the MIDI Capture. You're just noodling around without a click, and if you like something that you played, you now have to figure out what tempo you had in mind at the ...

I hope they do because I checked out some of the available plugins and none of them are as nice as the Ableton monitor.

Ha. So you did, but that was before I even remembered what MPE was... (Old school here.)
Ok, thanks for the help guys or gals.

Re: Midi Monitor displays wrong MIDI Channel for notes, but not CCs
A-ha! I see the "MPE" in the Midi Monitor title bar. Nothing in my MIDI preferences Ports section has MPE checked, but I think the Komplete Kontrol keyboards are MPE capable and Live shows both in the Control Surface section. Is there a way to turn it on and off?
