I've been doing this since forever already It is useful but not 'sufficient' for many situations.

What would help me a lot (and I guess many others) is being able to open several sessions as tabs... I do save copies along the way and being able to have some open in parallel would generally be what I would find efficient to go back and forth and quickly listen to other edits or even sections but ...

I'm dreaming of a new are where on could place what I see as max4live Live extensibility tools.
A lot of devs have (elisabethhomeland, killihu, others on isotonik etc) created really cool tools that extend the capacities of AL using max4live.

Of course I can make a rack and add it to a project ...

I don't mean to dis anyone, but does Ableton have a GUI professional looking over the design of the program? For a new person this program is hellish.



I think they've always tried to be so minimal they at times step all over themselves, sometimes I wonder if the devs actually use it, some of ...

I have loads of plugins VST2 VST3 AU and no loading time issue... so would 'guess' it is related to certain plugins. Do you have any other DAW ? For instance I have Logic and Studio One and their process checking could give you some clues as to which slow things down.. as they show their loading ...

I'm all good thanks, in direct communication with the Ableton people, they know what I am talking about. It's much more complex than you describe, depends on brands/devs, and plugins versions VST2 VST3 AU and various ways to access presets.

I'm so used to good Searching tools that a simplistic approach like that looks buggy to me.
They could use help from the makers of say HoudahSpot on Mac and a better implementation of if/or/else etc..

At times it is hard to understand if things are a bug or a 'feature'...

I really love Ableton, but trying to see any details on the very narrow strip on the bottom of the screen is literally a pain. I mean literally, not figuratively literally. I do get that most users are probably young with better eyesight... but a 20/20 sight shouldn't be a requirement to ...

The direction some stock tools/plugins has taken with the extended Expanded View, like Wavetable instrument or EQ Eight , is great!
I hope more and more stock tools will be adapted/redesigned with that in mind.

It would also be great to allow this for third party plugins, one could decide to open ...

Responses from developers would be a welcome Feature.. maybe at times they do.. have not seen it.

I guess it is the times we live in, even Apple never responds in their forums, they let the common person deal with other common people, who may or may not know something or nothing. So most questions ...

If I select more than one brand of Plugins in Browser under Creator I get 'No Results''

???

Any other users getting that behavior or is my setup all messed up ?
It makes no sense.

In the Browser No Results ' is shown if I select:
Content > Preset
and then any Creator while in Plugins under Library .


Same if instead I select All under Library
Then Content > Preset
and then any Creator except User
Even Ableton yields No Results '

I also made a bunch of Groups for myself ...

It would be great to be able to have a lot more control over Plug-In Windows show-hide.

For instance I have meters I like to have on external screens that I wish I could see all the time.. for that we have to deactivate Auto-Hide Plug-In Windows , but I also like that feature to be activated ...

They need to make it that two caps following each other also are understood.. at they are when there are lowercase in between as in pureLimit or LaxLimit4 or even as you mention show Drift when you type rift . In the age of AI Google even corrects misspelling :P
