I'm also looking for a pair of monitors and I was not impressed by the KRK's.

I really liked the Yamaha HS80-M's but they were a bit pricey.
Has anyone had a chance to hear the HS80's? What did you think?

I know the slider works because it was affecting the patches on some softsynths I use.

I've been playing around with my Edirol PCR-M30 and I've noticed that slider #2 cant be assigned to anything.
I'm wondering if this is a problem with Live 6.0 or with the PCR-M30.

the axiom is great if you want to add a little live performance while doing your set.
It always a great way to get your stuff out there.

It all depends on what you plan on doing with the keyboard.

If you just want to trigger samples and use the knobs for effects and sliders.
You should consider buying a M-Audio Trigger Finger, it's much more compact than the Axiom and you'll have 16 pads for triggering samples.
