What I've done whit my drum racks, is to take a clean drum rack, mab the transpose butten to one of the macros, and dumping this in the drum rack /slicing folder somewhere in lives library... Then when you wanna slice up something you can choose this as the preset, so all the slices will have one ...

I must say that - what helped me the most, of all things you can do to what ever break you choose(or drum hits), is to slice them to a new midi rack then layer with drum hits and render them.
