Well, fucks. My Ultralite performed completely flawlessly under WinXP, then I switched to OSX, no problems...until yesterday, it just randomly did this thing. I had Live playing back a rather simple loop while digging for some cables in another room, and suddenly there's a blast of white noise ...

It's a server board. 32Gb seems to be pretty standard there nowadays (though I know nothing about this stuff, just googling around)...seems like this is just one of the first ones offering 64Gb. They even have a 128Gb system on the IWill site.

I think these have been around for awhile. While they do have the "kewl" factor, reportedly they're really horrible to use due to the complete lack of any kind response. This might work well with big, projected pads or something like that, though...

Rumour has it someone managed to make a ReFill extractor once, but it was quickly shot down by the Propellerhead posse...supposedly it's still somewhere, but I've never managed to find it.

Hmm, some people on irc were complaining about it not working as well. Works normally for me.

I did some background-ish ambient for a design exhibition. I think they work pretty nicely on their own as well.

I know jack shit about genres, really. My solo project (as Krushing and/or Krushingfunklords) is some kind of hybrid electropop-hippie-neofolk-downtempo...usually. Occasionally some ambient stuff as well...

Then there's Morphophagus, which is mostly dark ambient of sorts...or doom ambient or...some ...
