Very good. I'm also happy to see that our improvements for scanning efficiency seem to have worked (50 minutes ist much less then 1,5h minus 14%). And yes, we do only scan things that haven't been scanned before (but we still have to look at every item to find this out, of course, therefore even a ...

The info text for a loaded Rack (or any other device) is only shown if the mouse cursor hovers over the Title bar (where "Ambient-Alien Riches" is displayed in your example). As the InfoView is empty in your screenshot, the mouse probably was somewhere else on the screen? If the Reack would have no ...

There seems to be a problem with the database copying, we're looking into that. But no data is lost, the database is only a cache for the metadata.
When you say you "made some metadata" you probably mean InfoTexts for the racks?
When you open the racks, the infotexts should still be there, you only ...

Are you on windows?
On Windows, the first use of the trashcan can take a while, several seconds, even half a minute if Windows has a bad day.
This also happens in Windows Explorer, there is nothing we can do about it.

But this is obviously not the reason for the delays on renaming, moving, loading ...

Though there might be a sligt delay due to not-yet optimized procedures, 5 seconds are much more delay than I've ever seen.

Does this happen for any preset, or only for certain ones?
If only for certain ones, can you name one or two if they are Ableton content?

For moving files, similar question ...

it's just a USB knob box FFS, little to no brains in that box, just a USB chip and a simple microcontroller. no more than $400, more like $250. you guys are too easily impressed.

Knobs and Faders and a sturdy case are MUCH more expensive than "brains" these days, a decent CPU doesnt cost much.

Hi Ajbbklyn,

you are right, the two lines seem to contratdict each other, but they dont really: after all, the first line only states a fact and does not say that it didnt install.
(Though I agree that it somehow hints into that direction :-) )

If you want to know the details:
The two lines are ...

In the "Authorizations" Tab of the Preferences you can enter any serial number you got, which will unlock the corresponding product.

Did you try to unlock again on this same machine?
If the serial was already succesfully used on this machine, you should be able to unlock as often as you want on this machine (this is necessary after reinstalling etc.).

Do you absolutely need the whole set in one file?
Be aware that files >2GB can give you all kind of trouble (on CDs, DVDs, different OS, several applications, etc.).
I would just make two files and play them in sequence, is that not possible for your use case?

But what if someone just forgot to connect the external drive, then live would select the internal Library without complaining, possibly altering the sound your set is producing.
Wouldnt you think that that also could be annoying?

Plus, how can Live be sure you want to select the other available ...

We made the File Manager support nested projects because we know that many users have created them on their harddisks (mostly by accident I think).
However, it is more a "the File Manager can live with nested projects" than an intentional support. And you still cannot create nested projects within ...

Certainly it can make sense to collect all your projects in one folder, but this parent folder should not be a project itself.
If you wish to manage all these projects together, you can always right-click (ctrl-click on Mac) on this parent folder in the browser, and use "Manage all projects".
