I noticed that the Tacklebox for Live 4 is $49, while this one is priced at $12. Is this just an upgrade for existing Tacklebox owners? It's not clear from your website whether this requires the existing Tacklebox, or whether this is a new version. Thanks.

Bhaji loops is a fantastic program and well worth the $30 or so that it costs. Works a lot like Fruity Loops, and you can import samples, loops, etc. EVen with an old slow palm like mine I can work well at 22Khz, and then export to 44khz, wave or mp3. Isn't there also a glaring orange bar across the bottom of the screen that says Demo Mode?

Just a cheap (<$900) little laptop from Best Buy. Note that Machinate is running in that range on his laptop as well. Yours seems to be in the same range, no? It's the Mac guys that seem to be seeing super high CPU utilization.

Tried this last night (cool set BTW). On my cheesy Compaq Athlon 2108 laptop, 512 MB RAM, 4200RPM HD, Indigo IO, I never went beyond 40%, and most of the time I was in the 30-35% range.

I managed to make it into the second beta group and I was wondering if I can go ahead and print the manual? I don't want to print a 350+ page manual if it will be revised, however. Anybody know if it's safe to print?

1st off, thanks to marc osborn and montrealbreaks. their tips have significantly improved my live setup, especially marc's trick of assigning keys to corresponding tracks (z-1, x-2, c-3...Z-9, X-10, C-11...)

Could you elaborate on this trick, or point me at the thread ...

That's what I'm afraid of too. Frank did answer one question with a "no." I'd like to know the answer to my question. It is still a great upgrade in any case, but this would be a damn useful ...

Did we ever get an answer on whether the device grouping feature will work for any VSTi or just for the ones built into Live 5?

I am a PC user and was wondering about this very same thing. It is very annoying to have such huge remnants left behind and taking up hard drive space. Why doesn't the program just upgrade my existing version?

$175 used, the Ableton guys were great about the transfer. Never looked back. Just saw another copy go for $125 at KVR.
